~ ABOUT THE CGP FUND ~

On April 28, 2014, we lost a dear friend and colleague, Coll Gordon Perske.  Just 29 years young, Coll passed away doing what he loved while in support of the Navy’s Marine Mammal Program (NMMP).

Coll held a special fondness for the California sea lion, and dedicated his career to bettering the lives of marine mammals both in human care and in the wild. To honor Coll’s life and unwavering dedication to marine mammals, the National Marine Mammal Foundation (NMMF) has partnered with Coll’s family and friends to establish the Coll Perske Memorial Fund for Marine Mammals.

The mission of this fund is to improve the lives of marine mammals, with a focus on California sea lions, through scientific research, education, and promotion of ocean stewardship.  Using this mission to guide us in all that we do, the Coll Perske Memorial Fund for Marine Mammals will create and support various projects that reflect who Coll was while working towards our mission.

We would be honored for you to join us by donating to this cause.
